(San Francisco, CA, May 2008)—The Face & Body Spa & Healthy Aging Conference and Expo® (www.SkinInc.com/faceandbody), now in its 16th year, announces that inspirational speaker, Rhonda Britten, an Emmy-award winner and frequent Oprah guest, will deliver its Keynote Address on Sunday, August 17, at 8:00 A.M. at Moscone North in San Francisco, CA. Face & Body, August 16-18, is the only industry event on the West Coast that offers a product-neutral educational program and provides a forum for spa professionals and those involved in the industry including estheticians, massage therapists, medical therapists, plastic surgeons, dermatologists and other medical professionals, to connect with their colleagues who serve the healthy aging, wellness, personal care, fitness, cosmetic and nutrition industries.
Britten’s Keynote and Coffee, entitled, “Fearless Living,” will kick off the Face & Body Advanced Education Conference Program. In her motivational speech, she will first explain how much fear is in our everyday lives and that when we complain too much, make excuses, beat ourselves up, and experience disappointment in ourselves and others, that these are all signs of fear. Britten will then show attendees how to let go of indecision, gain clarity of purpose, act on intuition and take life-changing risks. Her dynamic presentation will provide attendees with the four essential tools needed to become fearless and help transform their lives and business strategies.
As the founder of the Fearless Living Institute, Britten is dedicated to giving anyone the tools they need to master their emotional fears. She is also the author of four national bestsellers, including Fearless Living, which features her groundbreaking work called the Wheel Technology. During her three seasons on the Emmy Award winning, hit daytime reality drama, Starting Over, Britten was named "America's Favorite Life Coach" and was dubbed Starting Over's "Most Valuable Player" by The New York Times. She is a globally recognized expert on the subject of fear and fearlessness.
“We are honored to have Rhonda Britten as Face & Body’s Keynote Speaker. She has overcome tremendous adversities, and her unique message for positive transformation will inspire all who attend,” says Melinda Taschetta-Millane, conference director for Face & Body and editor-in-chief of Skin Inc. magazine.
Face & Body will also present a two-day product-neutral Advanced Education Conference Program that was structured to give attendees maximum time to focus on education, as well as ample opportunity to visit the expo floor and meet with suppliers, network with peers and attend Manufacturer Classes. In addition, the Advanced Education Conference Program has been reformulated to address five important industry topics and the tracks include: Business-building, Medical Spa, Esthetic Science, Trends and Wellness/Sustainability.
Also new this year to Face & Body, are pre-conference workshops on Saturday, August 16th, that will provide four half-day intensive sessions on The Anatomy of a Skin Care Product; Be the “It” Make-up Artist; Rainbow Reiki Treatment; and Insights into Inflammation and Wound Healing. In addition, partner conferences sponsored by Durocher Enterprises on “Your Profitable Business Right Now II: Making Money in Any Economy!” and NCEA’s “National NCEA Certification Prep Class” will also be offered on Saturday, August 16th.
