Kristen Scott’s love of makeup began when she started dancing and doing theater at a very young age. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in illustration and a minor in photography, Scott began working as an art director and graphic designer. During that time, she started her own face painting company, which has grown into a small entertainment company called Magickal Entertainment. The clothing store Gymboree’s book, Gymboree Face Painting (Key Porter Books, 2007), credited Scott as the makeup artist consultant and creator of the face and body designs. Her work can also be found in Marcela Murad’s The Face Painting Book of Fairy Princesses and The Face Painting Book of Cats (Silly Farm Supplies, 2007). Scott is currently a teacher at the Face and Body Art International Convention and is also its director of competitions.
