James J. Romano, MD, specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Romano graduated from The College of William and Mary and the Medical College of Hampton Roads, Virginia. He completed training in general surgery at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and had his residency in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is double board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been in practice since 1988. He also has served on the full-time teaching faculty as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Southern California and as an assistant chief of service at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, he has been on staff at several San Francisco hospitals, including Seton Medical Center and the California-Pacific Medical Center.
