You’ve been hearing a lot about antiglycation, matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors (MMPIs), dermoepidermal junction (DEJ) and sirtuins, as well as a slew of new complexes and peptides. In fact, there seems to be a new and “better” ingredient able to address the needs of a new, scientific sounding skin care concern being introduced all the time. It’s almost impossible to keep up. In this class you will learn: What these ingredients are and what they do; about the new technology these ingredients represent or if in reality these are terms created by raw ingredient suppliers as a way to position them as new even though they perform the same functions as many established ingredients; and knowledge that will protect you from “ingredient intimidation.”
